Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman said that the Europeans' trigger mechanism against Iran's reduction of commitment in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is dead.

Iran Press/ Iran News: Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Seyyed Abbas Mousavi on Monday said: "Measures of this type have been dead as of now, scolding the Europeans for their lack of independence and authority on that they could not decide even a small decision without the US allowance."

In his weekly press conference, Mousavi announced Iran's support for those countries, including Pakistan and Japan, seeking mediation between Iran and US but stated that as long as the US is insisting on its bullying policy, and refuses to lift its imposed sanctions on Iran, admitting its mistakes and returning to the JCPOA, mediation will be of no use."

He also pointed out to Yemeni people stressing that they defend themselves legitimately and Iran politically and spiritually supports Yemen against aggressors.

Mousavi rejected the accusations against Iran on attacking Saudi oil facilities and called such accusations as baseless claims.

In response to the accusations that Iran sends arms for the Yemenis, Mousavi noted that the war-torn country is under the toughest blockades by the Saudi regime and its allies in such a way that the Yemeni people have been deprived of humanitarian aids.

While expressing hope that blockade is lifted, he hoped that if this happens Iran would send humanitarian aids to the country.

Regarding Iran and Saudis' issue, the foreign ministry spokesman underlined that Iran welcomes efforts to maintain peace between the two countries, however, it is the Saudi regime that is not ready for peace talks due to its miscalculations.

It is assured by Iran that the country wants peace and security in the region and Iran is ready to talk in this regard, he stressed, adding that security could not be bought from foreigners, but it should be provided by the regional countries themselves.

Regarding Afghanistan election, Mousavi said that Iran supports the election approach in Afghanistan.

He stressed: "Iran supports a stable and secure Afghanistan and has insisted on this policy in its dialogues with Afghan groups."

Answering a question concerning the Zionist regime's pressure on Iranian athletes, Mousavi said that the regime uses any means to express itself which is employing foreign athletes to gain reputation.

He said Iran's refusal to take part in the matches before Israeli regime's athletes is since Iran does not recognize the regime.

He said the US internal affairs has nothing to do with Iran's policy, but Donald Trump has said many contradictory things such that he claims meeting with Iranian officials, then saying he has enhanced sanctions against Iran.

Mousavi noted this kind of approach in the US policy shows that the country's politicians suffer a sort of turmoil in their thoughts and policies.

He remarked: "The replacement of figures in the US is not important, but it is their action which is important that has already been nothing more than a gesture."

The US tried to block the Iranian President's speech in the annual UN general assembly, making hindrance in issuing visas for all of the Iranian diplomatic delegations in order to prevent Iranian participate in the annual assembly, yet Iran was one of the active participators of the 74th UN General assembly.

Mousavi also referred to the US ban on Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif to visit Iran's envoy to the UN Majid Takhte Ravanchi, who has been hospitalized in Manhattan, slamming the US for its brutal policy. 104/219.
