Iran's intelligence minister said that applying maximum pressure on the country not only has failed to hit us, but also makes the nation and authorities more coherent.

Iran Press/Iran news: Iran's intelligence minister Mahmoud Alavi said that the Ministry of Intelligence of the Islamic Republic of Iran seeks security, and counters the nation's security threats.

He considered providing peace and security as one of the main duties and functions of the ministry provides the basis for the growth and development of the society by elites.

"Hundreds of terrorist groups have been hit by Iran's Ministry of Intelligence despite using up-to-date weapons and logistics equipment, and this is one of the honors of the nation," he emphasized.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Mahmoud Alavi added that: "Advanced economy requires security and we are obliged to provide economic security in the country."

"Providing economic security raises hope, investment, production and reduces unemployment, so it is the best way to fight against global arrogance plots," he said.

Alavi emphasized the necessity to counter smuggling, saying that in this regard, the intelligence system prevents smuggling by designing new systems for declaring goods and services.

He added: "With the cooperation of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade and Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance some of these systems have been activated and, if fully launched, it will prevent a large volume of trafficking."

Mahmoud Alavi referred to the economic sanctions imposed by the US administration on the Islamic republic, saying that applying maximum economic pressure on Iran has minimized the country's internal disputes.

The government has tried to minimize inflation and with the guidance of Islamic Revolution Leader, the government, parliament, and judiciary have stepped in to solve the problems. In this regard, with the support of the people, inflation has inhibited," he added.
