Iran Press/Iran news: "The Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran has been named as the top 10 population in the world for 97 years of service and honor," Ali Asghar Peyvandi said on the sidelines of a trip to Birjand, the capital of southern Khorasan province, east of Iran.
In an exclusive interview with Iran Press, the IRCS Head reiterated that the Iranian Red Crescent Society is currently a member of the governing body of the World Red Crescent and Red Crescent Federation and has been selected on the basis of capabilities and assistance provided to other populations within and outside the country.
He pointed out that Iran has close relations with countries around the world, adding that: "The Iranian Red Crescent has excellent relations with the International Committee of the Red Crescent in the field of military and exchange of prisoners." 104/218
