Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, Brigadier General Alireza Sabahi Fard said that "The brave youth of Iran serving at Iran's army air defense could successfully activate and overhaul one of the biggest projects that have been deactivated for a long time," reported Iran Press.
Referring to the fact that Falagh (Gama) radar could intercept all types of cruise and ballistic missiles as well as stealth aircrafts and drones within some 400km range, Iran's top Commander concluded that thanks to some 2300 hours of flight and with enjoying the expertise of the local specialist, Gama Radar system could finally be overhauled under the name of 'Falagh'.
Earlier on June 9, a domestically-built air defense system, called '15th of Khordad' unveiled by in Iran.
The new system, which uses the homegrown Sayyad-3 missile, can track targets such as jet fighters and combat drones within a range of 150 kilometers and intercept them within a 120km range. The '15th of Khordad' can also intercept stealth targets within a range of 85km, and destroy them in a 45km range. 101/203
