Bandar Abbas (IP) - In the sideline of the ceremony of loading out the South Pars gas platform on Tuesday in Bandar Abbas, the deputy minister of industry, mine and trade Mohammad Bagher Aalie said this gas platform is the symbol of Iranian ability to design and build technical projects.

Iran Press/Iran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press, Mohammad Bagher Aalie pointed out, "This gas platform is the symbol of Iranian ability which for the first time have built it by the cooperation of Iranian oil ministry and Farasahel shipbuilding company, and by this project we want to show the capacity of Iranian experts to the world."

"The issue of sanctions like other issues is being solved with the efforts of the Iranian experts," said Aalie. "I have to say that although sanctions had an effect on the timing of building the project, they had no effect on the quality of building it and we built this project in a shorter time comparing to the similar cases."

The Forth platform of Iran’s South Pars gas field’s phase 14 was shipped on Tuesday, June 11 in Bandar Abbas City in order to be installed on its designated offshore spot.

With the shipping of this platform, the production of 500 million cubic feet of sour gas, 25 thousand barrels of condensate and 100 tons of sulfur will be added to the country’s current gas and energy production per day.

South Pars field is the world's largest gas field, shared between Iran and Qatar, covering an area of 3,700 square kilometers of Iran's territorial waters in the Persian Gulf.
