Top adviser to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution has said the power of the United States and the West against the Islamic world is declining.

Iran Press/Iran news: Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi added: "The Americans will fail in their strategy against Islamic countries."

Major General Rahim Safavi stated that according to strategic thinkers, the power of the hegemony of the West led by the United States has failed, and now the world is moving toward multilateralism in terms of power, politics and security, Iran Press reported.

The Former Islamic Revolution Guards Corps commander said many strategic thinkers believe that in the next fifty years, power will move from the West to the East, based on culture, economy and population.

Major General Rahim Safavi emphasized that in the East of the world and the continent of Asia, the three major countries of China, Russia and India will be superior in terms of economic power and a new pole of power, namely the power of the Islamic world will enter global equations, with the enabling potentials of civilisation, economy, culture and demography. 

An international conference on 'Future of the Islamic World in the Horizon of 2035' has been convened in Tehran on Sunday morning, with Ali Larijani the speaker of the parliament as the keynote speaker.

The international conference is being held at Tehran University and a number of senior government officials, military commanders, academics and intellectuals from Iran as well as from Turkey, Iraq, Egypt, Tunisia, Lebanon, Algeria, France, Finland, Austria and Australia are attending the conference.
