Iran Press/Iran news: President Rouhani held separate meetings with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Javad Zarif, Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Mohammad Shariatmadari, Minister of Health and Medical Education Saeed Namaki, Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami, and Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Abbas Salehi on Saturday.
The ministers briefed the president on the performances of their ministries during the past year and their plans and programs for the current year, Iran Press reported.
The president, for his part, expressed his gratitude to the ministers for their efforts and services, giving guidelines to them to improve the performance of their ministries.
President Rouhani also called on Government departments and ministries to help boost manufacture and production in line with Leader’s guidelines.
The Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has named the New Year, 1398, as the ‘Year of Boosting Production', which can solve the country’s economic problems and cut dependency upon foreigners. 101/211
