Iranian ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalali

Tehran (IP)- Iran's envoy to Moscow Kazem Jalali has said Russia has donated 50,000 coronavirus test kits to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iran Press/ Europe: Kazem Jalali expressed his gratitude for Russia's cooperation with Iran in the fight agianst coronavirus and underlined the expansion of cooperation in different fields, especially in the healthcare sphere.

Jalali noted that limiting the spread of the coronavirus requires regional and global cooperation. "The Islamic Republic of Iran has implemented the required measures to contain and control the new coronavirus to stop the spread of this pathogen," he added.

The cooperation between Iran and Russia has continued in recent years, particularly in the field of healthcare, hygiene, joint programs for the production of medical equipment, and fighting the spread of epidemic diseases.

Since the outbreak of the coronavirus in China last December, more than 114,000 people have become infected across the world, with over 4,000 deaths recorded.
