Iran's Ambassador to Zagreb, in a meeting with Croatia's senior health officials, discussed the latest issue on the Coronavirus outbreak as well as the two sides' capacities on bilateral cooperation in this regard.

Iran Press/Europe: Iran's Ambassador to Zagreb, Parviz Esmaili in a meeting with Croatian deputy health Minister Vera Katalinic- Jankovic and the Senior advisor to Croatian Minister of Health, Vedran Krasniewicz said that the international community while confronting COVID-19 the international community must act in a unified, coordinated manner within the framework defined by international hygienic guidelines.

Referring to the fact that the World Health Organization considers Iran's capabilities to control COVID-19 as high as WHO standards, Esmaili highlighted that Iran welcomes consultation, transfer of experience as well as any assistance from friendly countries and international institutions.

Iran's diplomat also considered sanctions as inhumane action and the reason to slow down the rate of Hygienic infrastructure development which also decreases patients' access to medicine and medical facilities. He also appreciated help rendering attitude of WHO as well as the efforts of the countries which have provided diagnostic and medical assistance to Iran.

During the meeting, the cooperation of the non-governmental sectors of Iran and Croatia for the development of public education and the two sides' contribution to the field of health was also discussed.
