Iran's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the International Organizations in Vienna said Tehran tries to prevent creating a new superfluous and dangerous heresy in the IAEA.

Iran Press/Europe: In reaction to the latest report of the International Atomic Energy Agency on safeguards matters in Iran released on Tuesday, 2nd of March 2020, Kazem Gharibabadi said: unfortunately, once again, the US and Israeli regime try to exert pressure on the Agency to derail it from its statutory functions in order to distort the proactive and constructive cooperation and relations between the Agency and Iran.

Gharibabadi went on to say that Iran intends to prevent creating a new superfluous and dangerous heresy in the IAEA to accredit to the intelligence services’ fabricated information.

The Iranian diplomat added: "Any request for clarification or complementary access by the Agency based upon such intelligence services’ fabricated information including the Israeli regime’s, not only will be in contradiction with the Statute of the Agency and the provisions of its verification regime documents, but also creates no obligation for Iran to consider such requests."

Gharibabadi stressed that if member states of the IAEA do not react to such efforts, their national sovereignty will be endangered.
