The one-day conference on Iranian culture and civilization was held in the Iranian embassy in London.

Iran Press/Europe: The aim of the conference was to introduce rich Iranian civilization to a number of scholars, ambassadors, and representatives of some embassies in London, university professors, Iranian culture and who were interested in Iranian civilization.

Iranian ambassador to London, Hamid Baeedinejad said in an interview with IRIB, "When people hear the name of Iran, they should not be too influenced by biased and negative news about Iran. They must know that Iran is a country that has been in this part of the world for seven thousand years and has gone through very different times, even with the attacks of Alexander and the Mongols".

But Iran has always been able to recover and establish a great civilization and affect many parts of the world.

Dr. John Curtis is Chief Executive Officer at Iran Heritage Foundation, and Dr. Vesta Sarkhosh Curtis, the curator of Middle Eastern Coins at the British Museum, spoke of the impact of Roman Greek and Mesopotamian civilizations on ancient Iranians.

Dr. John Curtis said, "We had the two conferences about Tappeh Sialk, where our partners from Iran participated in them. Now the papers of those conferences have been published and our next conference is scheduled to take place in ten days about Tappeh Sialk in Paris".

The musician, conductor and orchestra leader, Mark Stephenson spoke about the Internava Foundation's new programs in the education and development of Iranian music as well as joint programs by Iranian and Western musicians, British musicians.

"We were very fortunate last in July when we went to Iran and had two concerts with four European musicians and eight Iranian musicians and we had a concert in Soltanieh dome" Dr. Stephenson highlighted.

According to Iranologists, the combination of Iranian civilization and Islamic culture has created an excellent combination that is sufficient to lead a world-class society.

As a result, speakers at the meeting indicated that Iran's rich culture and civilization, as a unique treasure, and incomparable capacities that the world can utilize it.205
