Europe sees Iran-US talks as its problem solver: Zarif

Iran's Foreign minister has said that the Europeans want to fix their problem with the US president, through the talks between Tehran and Washington.

Iran Press/ Iran News: Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that Europeans think that they have problem with the US President Donald Trump and because they couldn't meet their commitments under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), so they insist on negotiation between Iran and the US to solve these problems.

"They (EU) didn't meet their commitments under the JCPOA, and after the US withdrawal from the agreement, they want to take us to the negotiation table with the US. They don't have enough will or ability to comply with their commitments. They have to solve their own problem," Zarif told reporters at the end of his 9-day-visit to New York

"We are not ready to defend Iran's economy and future of own people on superficial meeting with the president who has not met his commitments to date and has withdrawn all of its commitments," Zarif added.
