The Qatari newspaper Al-Araby Al-Jadeed reported on Saturday, citing Egyptian and Libyan sources, that the Zionist Regime Army officers are training forces in the Libyan National Army (LNA) under the command of "Khalifa Haftar".

Iran Press/Africa:  Disclosing the recent visit of Khalifa Haftar with Zionist Regime's senior security officials, the newspaper indicated that the two sides had reached an agreement on security cooperation.

According to the report, Zionist officers will train "Urban Warfare" tactics to the Libyan National Army to occupy Tripoli, the capital of Libya.

The Haftar-led LNA, supported for years by Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE, and several Western countries, controls eastern Libya and has in recent months advanced toward the northern part of the country.

On 4 April 2018, Haftar launched a military campaign to occupy Tripoli and oust the Libyan government. Haftar’s attack coincided with UN plans to hold a national dialogue conference in Libya, which was undermined by Haftar’s campaign.

Libya has been engaged in civil war since 2011, when former dictator, Muammar Gaddafi was overthrown.
