Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the country joins South Africa's complaint against the Israeli regime in the International Court of Justice.

Iran Press/Africa: South Africa filed the lawsuit against Israel at the end of December, after nearly three months of Israeli aggression against Palestinians in Gaza.

The lawsuit said Israel’s actions are “genocidal in character because they are intended to bring about the destruction of a substantial part of the Palestinian national, racial and ethnical group.”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Egypt stated in a statement on Sunday that due to the severity of the crimes of the Israeli regime against Palestinian civilians and the insistence of this regime on intentionally committing crimes, including killing civilians, forcing them to leave their land, destroying the infrastructure of the Gaza Strip, which leads to creating an unprecedented humanitarian crisis in this strait, Egypt joins the complaint presented by South Africa against the fake Israeli regime in the International Court of Justice.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Egypt has asked the Security Council and influential international parties to immediately take measures to establish an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, to stop the Israeli regime's attack on Rafah, and to take the necessary measures to ensure the safety of Palestinian civilians.
According to the International Court of Justice, the Libyan government also submitted a notice to join the complaint filed by South Africa against the Israeli regime in the said court regarding the implementation of the treaty to prevent the crime of genocide by the Israeli regime in the Gaza Strip.
