Iran Press/ Middle East: A Saudi media activist, known as 'Mujtahidd', has exposed the resignation of over sixty Saudi officers as a protest to the Saudi-initiated war in Yemen.
In a recent tweet, media activist 'Mujtahidd' who often reveals confidential information about the Saudi Royal family, wrote: "More than 60 high-ranking officers have recently given up their posts and resigned.
"The reason for this resignation is a guilty feeling over what is happening in Yemen and they are also afraid to be blacklisted on international charges for committing war crimes in Yemen," he added.
This is while the Saudi regime and Salman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Arabia king, have given them concessions to strengthen the morale of the Saudi military involved in the military invasion of Yemen.
In this regard, experts from the UN Human Rights Council, in August 28, accused them of committing war crimes in Yemen writing a 41-page explicit statement accusing Saudi, UAE and mercenaries of committing war crime in Yemen war.
The decision of the United Nations to investigate crimes in Yemen, can be considered a blow to Saudi Arabia, which has launched a comprehensive war against the country for the past four years.
The possibility that the investigation will drag Saudi Arabia into the International Criminal Court have made Saudi officials jittery.
Saudi Arabia, with America's full backing, has been involved in a brutal military aggression and invasion of Yemen since March 2015. The United Arab Emirates is also heavily involved in the war of aggression against Yemen, being a partner of Saudi Arabia.
