Upon the commemoration of the Iranian poet, Hafez, the Iranian President and the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance attended Hafeziyeh, the tomb of Hafez in Shiraz.

Iran PressIran news: Iranian Minister of Culture and the Islamic Guidance Mohammad Mehdi Esmaili voiced the appearance of a prosperous cultural period in the country. 

The so-called period is well shown by the artists, according to the minister. 

"30 billion tomans will be devoted to the culture and art of Fars province," announced Esmaili.

The minister added that for all art associations across the country, we have devoted one billion per capita for each association.

The 20th of Mehr on the Iranian calendar, which falls on October 12 this year, is celebrated annually as Hafez Day. 

Hafez is most famous for his divan, and among the many partial English translations of this work are those by Gertrude Bell and H. Wilberforce Clarke. 219
