Health official:

Tehran (IP)- Referring to daily coronavirus statistics, the head of Tehran’s Task Force for Combating Coronavirus stated that the number of people discharged from the medical centers was accelerating, with 1400 people had been discharged from the hospitals overnight.

Iran PressIran news: The World Health Organization (WHO) representative Syed Jaffar Hussain visited the vaccination center for COVID-9 patients in Iran Mall on Wednesday.

Alireza Zali, who accompanied the representative, said: “Fortunately, the number of outpatient visits to health centers has decreased and I predict that by the next week, the rate of hospitalization would also decrease.”

The head of the Communicable Diseases Division at Iran’s Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Mohammad Mehdi Gouya, said significant measures were taken to produce vaccines, adding that Iran and Cuba had promising cooperation since they started joint vaccine production.

Emphasizing Irans’ vaccination procedure is perfect, Mohammed Mehdi Gouya said that the Iran-Cuba joint COVID-19 vaccine would reach mass production in September after passing clinical trials and studies and technical knowledge transference to the country.

The WHO representative to Iran paid a visit to Iran Mall COVID-19 Vaccination Center to evaluate the vaccination process in Iran.

Syed Jaffar Hussain visited the center on Wednesday, where the head of Tehran’s Task Force for Combating Coronavirs Alireza Zali, and the head of Communicable Diseases Division at Iran’s Ministry of Health Mohammad Mehdi Gouya accompanied him.
