Iran Press/ Iran news: Ebrahim Raisi, the President of Iran, in his speech at the International Conference on Combating Sand and Dust Storms (SDSs) kicked off in Tehran on Saturday, presented two proposals: Development along with preservation of the environment and creation of a fund to support environmental decisions.
Iran's President further stated: "The environment is a public concern and does not relate to a specific country. Pollutants and dust threaten everyone today. The dangers that exist for food security and human life and the environment force all countries to think together and cooperate to protect the environment."
Elsewhere Iran's President noted: "What you need to know about the phenomenon of dust and the environment is that God has placed a law in nature that while humans use water, soil and air, they must also respect the laws governing nature and not break the law."
If the laws of the seas, forests and environment are broken, there are risks for nature, according to President Raisi.
Iran's President went on to emphasize that it is very important to know the laws governing nature and to respect the laws governing nature and environmentalists. All governments and international and global organizations should consider themselves obliged to maintain the laws and respect these laws.
"The phenomenon of dust is the result of drought, which should be considered for drought. Water and management of water resources and consumption is very important. One of the reasons for the spread of dust is undoubtedly the improper use of water resources. Development without taking into account the preservation of the environment is wrong," stressed Raisi.
Iran's President then explained: "There are countries that thinking about their own development. Today, one of the important points is that the developed countries only think about their industrial and military development without paying attention to the preservation of the environment, and this is one of the atrocities that is done to humanity and the environment."
Iranian president went on to call consensus, convergence, participation and finding a common solution against atrocities toward nature and humanity.
"We should appreciate the UN resolutions that have been issued, but how much have the developed and domineering countries, who only think about themselves, paid attention to the UN resolutions? We believe that UN resolutions should have a guarantee of implementation, if not, the dominating countries will endanger the environment." stressed President Raisi.
"The presence of nearly 30 countries and more than 15 regional and international organizations in this meeting shows the common feeling of the countries and international organizations towards the environment, for which I thank you." said Raisi.
" The convergence will cause the developed countries to not only have an economic view of the common issues of humanity, and the environment should not be influenced by political issues, and if this is the case, it will not lead anywhere. This is a human action to protect the environment, emphasized President."
"Development is yes but wer say no to endangering the environment. This is the principle that is in our constitution. I suggest that this shared view, away from any political suspicions and conventional and usual diplomacy, is of interest to all, " urged Raisi.
Iran's President further said: "A common problem should be thought of and work solutions should be thought of and cooperation with scientific and research centers and we are ready to share our practical experiences with all countries in the field."
The second point is that we need financial resources. Countries can establish a fund as a support fund for executive actions and implementation of environmental protection decisions, concluded he.
