Tehran(IP)- The Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, in a meeting with the special assistant of the President of Russia, emphasized that the reduction of the influence of the US dollar in regional and international economic exchanges, which many countries are joining, will minimize the dominance of the West over the global economy.

Iran PressIran news: "Igor Levitin Aide to the President of the Russian Federation, met and talked with Raer Admiral  "Ali Shamkhani", the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on Sunday.

Aide to Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia has traveled to Tehran to meet and consult with the officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to Iran Press, in this meeting, the process of implementing agreements between the two countries in various economic and banking fields, especially speeding up the start of the implementation of the North-South Corridor, was discussed and opinions were exchanged.

In this meeting, Shamkhani expressed his satisfaction with the improvement of the level and volume of economic cooperation between the two countries and emphasized on adopting short-term solutions to accelerate the implementation of joint economic projects.

The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council also said: " The final initiatives of Iran and Russia in the field of monetary and banking relations in order to finance joint projects will be an effective model in the field of thwarting the illegal sanctions of the West."

Iran's top official  further stressed:"Reducing the influence  of the US dollar will minimize the dominance of the West on the world economy."

Shamkhani considered the completion of the North-South Corridor and the expansion of transit cooperation between Iran and Russia as an important part of the joint projects of the two countries and added: "Thanks to the continuous efforts and follow-up of the officials of the two countries, any obstacle in the way of the realization of the will of the leaders of the two countries in the field of quick implementation of this The strategic project that has a decisive role in changing the geometry of goods transit in the region will be removed."

In this meeting, the envoy of the President of Russia also presented a report on the latest developments related to trade and banking relations and joint economic projects, and said: " While emphasizing the implementation of joint plans and projects as soon as possible, especially in the field of transit, Moscow is ready to invest in various economic sectors of Iran, including steel, oil and petrochemicals."
