The Iranian President planted tree saplings at the National Botanical Garden of Iran to mark National Tree Planting Day.

Iran PressIran News: National Tree Planting Day is the day when individuals and groups throughout Iran are encouraged to plant and care for trees.

The day is annually celebrated on the fifteenth day of Esfand, the last month on the Iranian calendar, which falls on 6 March. Also, the day marks the beginning of the National Week of Natural Resources (March 5-12).

Some ministers, including the Minister of Agriculture and the Mayor of Tehran, accompanied Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi in the ceremony.
