Iran Press/ Iran news: The spokesman of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Kanani, announced yesterday (Monday) that in response to the recent deeds of the European Union, sanctions will soon be imposed against the European Union. In the latest action against Iran, the European Union put 32 officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the sanctions list on Monday. On the other hand, the UK applied new sanctions against Iran on the same day, too.
The statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran says: "As a reciprocal action, this ministry has sanctioned a number of individuals and institutions of the European Union and the United Kingdom for supporting terrorism and terrorist groups, encouraging terrorist acts and violence against the people of Iran, interfering in the internal affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, promulgating falshoods and false information about Iran, as well as participation in the escalation of oppressive sanctions against the Iranian people, which amounts to economic terrorism."
This statement continues: "The Islamic Republic of Iran, while condemning the actions of the European Union and the British regime in supporting the destructive actions of the aforementioned individuals and institutions, which violate international obligations in the field of combating terrorism, It declares that their action in applying and intensifying cruel sanctions is a clear violation of the fundamental principles of international law in the United Nations Charter."
The statement adds: "All institutions of the Islamic Republic of Iran, according to the approvals of the relevant authorities, will take the necessary measures, which include the ban on issuing visas and the impossibility of entering the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the blocking of bank accounts in the financial and banking system, and the confiscation of property and assets in the territory under the jurisdiction of the Islamic Republic of Iran." 219
