In July 1988, Iraqi forces and 7,000 militants from the Mujahedin-e-Khalq Organization (MKO) invaded Iranian Kurdistan, hoping to capture Kermanshah, west of the country. The MKO militants were armed and given air support by the Iraqi regime's army.

Two days remain until the end of the 41st Fajr International Film Festival and 6 other films are to be premiered.
