Iran Press/ Europe: In a non-binding vote on Wednesday, the European legislative body backed an amendment added to an annual foreign policy report that calls for "the EU and its member states to include the IRGC on the EU’s [so-called] terrorist list."
On Thursday, The European Parliament in the resolution welcomed the UK's preparation for the inclusion of the IRGC on its list of so-called terrorist organizations and called on other countries to do the same.
The blacklisting would include the IRGC military force, the Basij force, and the IRGC Quds Force.
In a Thursday phone call with EU Foreign Policy Chief Josep Borrell, Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian slammed the EP’s “emotional, injudicious, incorrect and unprofessional” behavior, which conflicts with political rationality and civility.
He said the EP shot Europe in the foot by voting to call on the EU and its member states to place IRGC on the bloc's so-called terror list.
