Bauchi (IP) - Followers of Ahlulbayt in Nigeria keep on the celebrations of the birth anniversary of Sayyeda Fatima (as) the daughter of the holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him and his Progeny) in various towns and villages of the country.

Iran PressAfrica: In some parts of the country including Abuja, the celebrations began three days ago and will be concluded on Wednesday.

In Bauchi State, the celebrations were held in Madrasatu Sumayya, where lectures and poems about the Queen of heaven and wife to Imam Ali, Lady Fatima conducted. Also in Potiskum town of Yobe State in the Northeastern country, hundreds of supporters of Ahlulbayt gathered at Fudiyya School Potiskum where they recited Ziarat of Syeda Fatima Zahra(sa) and different scholars delivered speeches on the life of the daughter of the holy Prophet of Islam.

The holy Hazrat Fatima who is the only daughter of the holy Prophet and his wife Hazrat Khadija was born around 612 or 615 CE and martyred six months after the demise of her father, holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him and his Progeny).

Since the martyrdom of Hazrat Fatima, the mother of Imam Hassan and Imam Husain (as), activists irrespective of their religion, race, or region consider her a role model in standing and fighting against oppression and injustice.
