Tehran (IP) - In a tweet in Chinese, Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the need to respect Iran's territorial integrity, saying that Tehran does not hesitate to take serious measures against any side disregarding the necessity of respecting Iran's territorial integrity.

Iran PressIran News: Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian reacted to the joint statement of China and the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf also known as the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) as well as the claims made in that statement Bu Musa and the Greater and Lesser Tunbs. He said: "The Tunbs in the Persian Gulf are inseparable parts of the pure land of Iran and belong to this motherland forever."

The tweet says: "The leaders of the Persian Gulf countries and China called for a peaceful solution to the issue of the three islands between Iran and the UAE in the statement of their joint final meeting. Meanwhile, the three islands are an integral part of Iran's soil."

The statement of the leaders of the Persian Gulf countries and China was issued immediately after another statement in which the leaders of Saudi Arabia and China asked Iran to refrain from "interfering in the internal affairs of the countries".

In response to this statement, the Chinese ambassador to Tehran was summoned to Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday, and he was informed of the Islamic Republic of Iran's objection to the final statement of the leaders of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and China.
