Ahvaz (IP) - The number of martyrs of the deadly terrorist attack in Izeh city in Iran's southwestern province of Khuzestan on Wednesday has increased to seven people, with eight others injured.

Iran PressIran news: Iran's security forces have arrested three people involved in Wednesday's deadly terrorist attack.

At least seven people were killed after terrorists opened fire at people and security forces at a crowded market in Izeh around sunset on Wednesday.

Officials have identified a nine-year-old child, a 45-year-old woman, and three youths among the martyrs. At least eight other people were also wounded.

At the same time, Isfahan, in central Iran, witnessed another terrorist attack.

On Wednesday evening, two armed terrorists on a motorcycle attacked security forces in Isfahan and martyred three members of the security forces and injured another person.

These terrorist acts happened while anti-revolution media called for protests and riots in all cities of Iran and invited people to continue the riots. A number of rioters also attacked government and public centers and caused damage to these centers and people's property.

Even though the creation of chaos and terror is one of the strategies of the enemies, including the United States and the Israeli regime, in facing the Islamic Republic for many years, in recent weeks, the enemies have used all their political and media power to intensify protests, unrest and violence across Iran; The October 26 terrorist attack on the holy shrine of Shah Cheragh in Shiraz city of Fars province, which left 15 martyrs, was also carried out in line with the same goals of the enemies.

The unrest in some parts of the country is considered an opportunity for the enemies and terrorist groups affiliated with them to carry out terrorist operations and, as a result, intensify the chaos and insecurity in the country to use. Of course, during the past month, Iran's intelligence and security agencies have thwarted several planned terrorist operations and prevented unfortunate events in the country.

In response to yesterday's terrorist operations in Izeh and Isfahan cities, Ali Bahadri-Jahormi, the spokesperson of the Iranian government, pointed out that the terrorist actions of the enemies will not go unanswered and said that this terrorist action, carried out with the support of terrorist governments, is a result of the enemies' frustration with media terrorism. "Enemies and media terrorism try to carry out their actions using various methods and propaganda that are not conventional and clear, but when they are disappointed, they have no choice but to resort to terrorist acts."

The attacks came amid ongoing foreign-backed riots that have hit various Iranian provinces after a 22-year-old Kurdish woman named Mahsa Amini died in hospital despite intensive medical care and resuscitation efforts.
