West Azarbaijan (IP) - A 5.4-magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale shook the Khoy city of West Azarbaijan Province, northwest of Iran, on Wednesday morning, which left 235 casualties.

Iran PressIran news: The quake occurred on Wednesday at 03:51:28 am (local time) at 45.01 longitudes and 38.5 latitudes.

The earthquake's epicenter was at a depth of 10 kilometers.

So far, 20 aftershocks with an intensity of less than 4 Richter have been recorded in Khoi.

According to the Spokesman of the Ministry of Health's Emergency, Mojtaba Khaledi, 235 people went to medical centers after the earthquake; most of them had superficial injuries and were wounded due to running away from the quake.
