Tehran (IP) - The Chief of Staff of Iran's President reported that the country and Uzbekistan would sign 17 cooperation documents in many areas during the president's visit to Uzbekistan.

Iran PressIran News: In response to Iran Press on the sidelines of the cabinet session, Gholam-Hossein Esmaili said that the central theme of President Raisi's visit to Uzbekistan is Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit which plays a crucial role in regional and international levels.

Esmaili noted: "The President will also meet with the leaders of the participating countries, including the Russian, Indian, and Chinese presidents."

He said SCO membership gives Iran specific political, diplomatic, and economic privileges.

The President left Tehran, heading for Uzbekistan to take part in the 22nd summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) on Wednesday at the head of a high-ranking delegation of political and economic officials.
