The 10th Moscow Conference on International Security wrapped up Tuesday night as the defense ministers and military-security officials of more than a hundred countries considered the US the main cause of instability and insecurity in the world.

Iran PressEurope: "Western countries are desperately clinging to their "vanishing hegemony" but the unipolar world order is becoming a thing of the past," Russian President Vladimir Putin said in his address to the audience of the conference.

Putin added, "The contours of multipolar world order are being actively shaped. Increasingly more countries and peoples are choosing the path of free sovereign development based on their uniqueness, traditions, and values."

"The objective processes of shaping a multipolar world are being "opposed by Western globalist elites who stoke chaos by igniting old and new conflicts and implementing the so-called containment policy, which essentially undermines any alternative sovereign paths of development," the Russian president stated.

The launch of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine has put an end to the unipolar world order. Moscow is being confronted by the West collectively, but no one, not even NATO, has any doubt that the operation’s objectives will be attained, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said at the opening of the conference on Tuesday.

Deputy Chief of General Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces Brigadier general Ali Abdollahi, in his address to the audience of the conference, said, "The Islamic Republic of Iran has repeatedly warned that the unilateralism and totalitarianism of the United States will make the world insecure."

Abdollahi stated, "The political life and life of the US national security has become addicted to producing crisis, war, and sanctions. We had warned that the US has taken the security of regions and countries hostage and is doing business with the security of countries."

"This is a very bad and dangerous tradition and we, as the Islamic Republic of Iran, emphasized that other countries will also experience its damage one day," the Iranian top general said.

"We have always warned about the unfairness of the international system, and what we are witnessing today in Ukraine, which has, unfortunately, cost the lives of thousands of soldiers and civilians, is the product of the US deceit and its insistence on unilateralism and maintaining global hegemony," he added.
