Iran Press/ Middle East: Lebanon's parliamentary elections were held on Sunday. In this election, the resistance movement won as in the past.
In his first speech after announcing the results of the 2022 parliamentary elections, the Lebanese Hezbollah Secretary-General said that all threats to intimidate the Lebanese people and turn them away did not lead to any results.
Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah referred to the result achieved by the Lebanese resistance in this election and called it a great victory, adding that the election proved that the popularity of the resistance is increasing.
"We are proud of this great victory, especially when we see under what circumstances this victory was achieved", Nasrallah said.
In his speech, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah in Lebanon also called for the de-escalation of political conflicts in the country and said: "What is needed is peace in Lebanon and addressing the issues of concern to the people in participation and cooperation, free from competition."
In another part of his speech, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah referred to the baseless accusation about Iran's interference in the Lebanese elections and said: "Have you ever seen an ambassador or an employee of the Iranian embassy interfere in the elections? While we witnessed the intervention of the US embassy during the elections and the Saudi ambassador was very active in the election process, too."
The enemies of the resistance have spent a lot of money and efforts in recent months to oust the resistance from the Lebanese political structure, and the results of the election indicate their failure. 219
