(IP) – Iran's Savate team bagged 17 gold, silver, and bronze medals in Bulgaria competitions.

Iran PressEurope: The Bulgarian competitions were held with athletes from different countries of the world, including France, Italy, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Serbia, Iran, Cameroon, etc., in the age categories of teenagers, youth, and adults.

The Iranian squad won 6 gold, nine silver, and two bronze medals.

The highlight of the competition was the decisive victory of Mehdi Hosseini in the Savate Pro match against a famous Cameroonian opponent and the selection of Sahel Khorasanzad, the gold medalist in the -56 kg weight category, as the best fighter of the Iranian team, which the organizing committee awarded the best fighter cup.
