Quds (IP) – As Quds Day approaches, Palestinians are making a significant presence in the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Iran PressMiddle East: Imam Khomeini, the Founder of Iran's Islamic Revolution, declared the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as International Quds Day to survive the fundamental issue of Palestine and to declare the solidarity of the Muslims of the world with the Palestinians and to mobilize forces to save Quds from the Zionist occupation.

Next Friday, April 29, 2022, coincides with the 27th of Ramadan, 1443 AH, the International Quds Day.

The Palestinian people, especially the teenagers, youth and women, have had a maximum presence in Al-Aqsa Mosque for prayers, dawn and iftar during the last days of the month of Ramadan. Iftar dinners are held in Al-Aqsa Mosque and the fasting people break their fast in the mosque's courtyard.

The primary purpose of the Palestinians' presence in Al-Aqsa Mosque is to protect this religious and Palestinian place from the invasion of the Israeli military and settlers, who insult Al-Aqsa Mosque every year in the days leading up to the International Quds Day.

Israeli soldiers and settlers recently entered Al-Aqsa Mosque on a daily basis and targeted Palestinians, but were eventually forced to leave the mosque due to Palestinian worshipers' resistance.
