Tehran (IP) – Iranian Army spokesman says the new drones displayed during Monday's parade are only part of the army's drone capabilities in the face of any threat.

Iran PressIran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Tuesday, Brigadier-General Shahin Taqikhani referred to the army's drone capability and said: "Army drones, which are all indigenous and built by young Iranian specialists in the army and the Ministry of Defense with the help of knowledge-based centers, are capable of reconnaissance, intelligence gathering, electronic warfare, and long-haul flights."

He stated that these drones, including reconnaissance, suicide and multi-role drones, have very long ranges and only a part of them was displayed during the Army Day parade.

"Of course, this is part of the Army's drone capability and we did not present some of them; we just wanted to provide examples so that our friends become more hopeful and the enemies know that the Islamic Republic of Iran is at a very high readiness," the spokesperson noted.

In another part of his speech, he referred to last year's mission of Iran's 75th Navy Flotilla and its presence in the North Atlantic, which was carried out for the first time in the longest naval intelligence and training mission: "International law allows all countries to be present on the high seas. Our enemies said about ten years ago that it was unlikely that Iran would be able to reach the Atlantic."

Referring to the role of the Navy in strengthening the economy, General Taqikhani said: "We have been able to help the country's economy for exports and imports with the help of the fleets that we sent to different parts of the world to fight terrorism and we have been able to provide significant assistance in securing the sea routes, waterways and straits."

According to him, more than 80 fleets have been sent to ensure maritime security, fight terrorism and piracy, and maintain the security of ships of the Islamic Republic and other countries, and among them, the 75th Navy Flotilla is carrying out the mission using the Iranian-made Sahand and Makran ships. During more than forty thousand kilometers of travel and the waving of the Iranian flag in the three great oceans of the world, it was able to arouse the surprise of the enemies and the hope of the friends.

The spokesman highlighted that it is the Islamic Republic's strategy to be present in open waters all over the world.

Visiting Iran Press International News Agency on Tuesday, Brigadier-General Shahin Taqikhani praised the agency and pointed out that Iran needed this news agency in order to be able to convey a true picture of the country and its great developments and events to the world; during its short life, Iran Press has been able to successfully provide good services and information to the countries of the region and the world.
