UN (IP) - Iran's Vice-President for Women Affairs says the Iranian women play key roles in the country's administrative posts.

Iran PressIran news: The 66th Annual Meeting of the Commission on the Status of Women has begun with the participation of leaders and high-ranking women's officials at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, from March 14 to 25.

There on the sidelines of the meeting, Iran's Ensiyeh Khazali met with the Nigerian Minister of Women Affairs Dame Pauline Talle, and talked with her about Iran's achievements in protecting women and family, including health, life expectancy, insurance, and literacy.

Khazali announced readiness to share the relevant experiences with Nigerians. 

Dame Pauline Talle for her part elaborated on the status of her country's women, particularly in the education area and literacy problems for women and children. 

She also talked about the efforts made in Nigeria to assign 35 percent of the political posts to the Nigerian women, that is according to her, is 8 percent currently.
