Iran Press/ Iran News: In a statement on Sunday, the IRGC said the missile attack on Israeli centers in Erbil was made in response to the "Zionists' crimes."
A dozen of ballistic missiles struck Iraq’s northern Kurdish regional capital Erbil on Sunday, targeting advanced Israeli Mossad training centers.
Recently, Israel used this base to aggress against Iranian positions.
The development came days after Monday’s missile attack in Syria, in which Israel hit positions south of Damascus, martyring two Iranian military advisors and leaving some material damage.
Tehran has strongly condemned Israel's recent attack on the Syrian capital that led to the martyrdom of two Iranian military advisors with the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), saying the occupying regime’s crime “will not go unpunished.”
Also, Iran’s permanent mission to the United Nations said the Islamic Republic considers itself rightful to defend itself and its interests against the Israeli regime’s acts of terrorism.
However, Al Mayadeen cited sources as saying that “the operation against the Mossad has nothing to do with the latest Israeli attack in Syria.”
The sources said that this operation is a response to previous Israeli attacks against Iran that were launched from Iraqi Kurdistan, stressing that the Iranian response to the killing of the 2 IRGC soldiers in Syria at the hands of "Israel" will take place in due course.
The IRGC's public relations department stated in a statement, referring to the targeting of the strategic center of the Israeli regime's conspiracy and wickedness by precision missiles, that the repetition of any evil deed would face harsh, decisive and destructive responses.
Following the recent atrocities of the Israeli regime and the IRGC's attack on the strategic center of conspiracy of the Israelis, the public relations department of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps issued a statement.
The statement noted: "Following the recent crimes of the fake Zionist regime and the previous announcement that these crimes and mischiefs of the vicious regime will not go unanswered, last night, the IRGC's precision missiles targeted the strategic center of the Zionist conspiracy and wickedness."
"Once again, we warn the criminal Zionist regime that the repetition of any evil deed will face harsh, decisive and destructive responses," the statement says.
