Tehran (IP) - Iran's Minister of Culture stressed the status of theater in the country and said the art must be of a sublime status due to its ancient nature.

Iran PressIran News: The closing ceremony of the 40th edition of the Fajr Theatre Festival was held in Tehran's Vahdat Hall on Tuesday evening, with the bests being awarded.

As the key speaker of the ceremony, Mohammad Mehdi Esmaili believed that the grounds must be more prepared for those youths loving the theatre art to enter the arena, recalling that Iran's president has particular stress on Islamic arts. 

He then appreciated the artists for resisting various problems, including the corona pandemic, and kept the Iranian theatre alive. 

The minister finally concluded that a much better and closer relationship must be formed between the country's art universities and the artists, including the theatre artists.

The 40th edition of the Fajr Film Festival wrapped up on Friday, February 11, with the best in different branches were awarded Crystal Simorgh.
