Tehran (IP)- The IRGC commander Major General Hossein Salami said on Saturday: "Believers are vengeful for those who cowardly assassinate our comrades."

Iran PressIran news: Speaking  at the commemoration ceremony of the martyrs of Arafa in Tehran, Hossein Salami said: "The growth of the spirit of jihad everywhere shows that Islam has advanced everywhere and the enemy is retreating."

On January 9, 2003, A Dassault Falcon 20E plane belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps crashed near Urmia, killing several senior IRGC commanders.

The Head of the ground forces of the Revolutionary Guard, Ahmad Kazemi, was among those killed in the crash. The people were known as the martyrs of Arafa.

On Sunday night, a ceremony was held in their honor in Tehran.

Salami said: "Our enemies have lost, today depression can be seen in the faces of our enemies. Yemen is winning while resisting the global siege."
