Iran's First Vice President

Tehran (IP) - Referring to the government's plans and approaches to support manufacturing enterprises, Iran's First Vice President stated: "The government seeks to design and implement a program called the Revitalisation Movement."

Iran PressIran news: Emphasizing the government's special efforts and determination to support the production sector, Mohammad Mokhber said: "Production is the only way to save the country's economy and can achieve issues such as economic growth, fighting against unemployment, investment, appreciation of the national currency and controlling inflation."

Referring to the government's plans and approaches to support manufacturing enterprises, Mohammad Mokhber stated: "The government seeks to design and implement a program called the Revitalization Movement, according to which production enterprises that are closed or operating at low capacity would be supported and continue their economic activity with new strength."

Emphasizing the need to prevent the import of goods whose similar samples are produced in the country, Mokhber said: "Except in cases where the issue of competition and organization of price and quality is raised, in other cases, goods whose similar samples are produced domestically should not enter the country."

Referring to the situation in the country at the time of the inauguration of the 13th government, the First Vice President stated: "Fortunately, today there is no concern for the supply of basic commodities and the currency needed for it in the country."

Referring to Iran's numerous capacities such as sea and mining, First Vice President said: "One of the important advantages of Iran is having mines, which unfortunately, despite the vast capacities in this field, we have not seen appropriate measures and planning."

The First Vice President also mentioned the access to the sea and 2700 km of coastline in the country and added: "Relying on God-given blessings and existing capacities in the country, extensive measures can be taken for economic development, but unfortunately these blessings have not been taken to account as it should be.

Mohammad Mokhber stressed the need to avoid selling raw minerals and clarified: "If we focus on digital and maritime economy, effective steps will be taken towards the development of the country."

In another part of his speech, the First Vice President emphasized the importance of economic diplomacy and said: "Ambassadors should pay serious attention to the issue of economic diplomacy, especially with neighboring countries, because this can lead to economic openings for the country."
