Gun trafficking band dismantled in northwest of Iran

Western Azerbaijan (IP) - The Commander of Iran's Border Guards reported the dismantling of a gun-trafficking band in the country's northwestern borders.

Iran PressIran News: Brigadier-General Ahmad-Ali Goodarzi said on Tuesday the border guards of the Urmia in Western Azerbaijan, managed to prevent the shipment of illegal weapons from entering the country in a timely and accurate operation.

Commander Goodarzi said 240 smuggled weapons were seized, including 175 hunting rifles, 65 pistols, and 6 boxes of weapon accessories.

Meanwhile, in another operation, Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) dismantled a group of foreign-backed saboteurs in Robat Karim city, southwest of Tehran on Tuesday.
