Hezbollah's deputy secretary-general called the formation of a government and breaking the siege of Lebanon two key achievements for the country.

Iran PressMiddle East: According to the Al-Manar network on Wednesday, Sheikh Naeem Qasim, the Deputy Secretary-General of Lebanese Hezbollah, stated in a speech: "The formation of the government, although delayed, was an important step for the resistance and Lebanon. In addition, the breaking of the siege of the United States, which was due to the firm and courageous position of Hezbollah and the import of diesel fuel from Iran, forced the United States to change some of its plans hastily."

"The United States is acting far from morality and humanity, far from justice, and the country does not care whether it leads to the killing of children, women and the elderly. We have seen this in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Yemen and other regions," Naeem Qasim added.

Sheikh Naeem Qasim stressed: "Hezbollah does not accept the dictates that stabilize the Israeli plan in the region and disrupt independence, freedom and stabilization of the occupation, and stands firmly against all challenges at military, cultural, economic, social and moral levels."

The Hezbollah official also stated that the Lebanese government can work in two main directions, namely the path of salvation and reform and the path of preparing the conditions for the timely holding of parliamentary elections and use all its power to reduce the suffering and problems of the people.

Hezbollah's deputy secretary-general also spoke about his country's relations with Syria, highlighting: "The Constitution distinguishes between special relations between Lebanon and Syria, but some officials violate the Constitution by not implementing it due to the problem of US sanctions. It is in Lebanon's interest to make their demands and not wait for the United States to do them a favor."
