The Yemeni governor of Marib said that the Saudi coalition has sent hundreds of terrorist elements to the province to confront the army forces and popular committees.

Iran PressMiddle East: According to Al-Masira, Ali Taeiman, said on Wednesday that the invading forces sent hundreds of Takfiri terrorist elements from the southern and eastern provinces to prevent the advance of the Yemeni armed forces in Marib.

The governor of Marib also stressed the importance of the solidarity of the people of this province to prevent the presence of terrorist elements in this province in order to maintain security and stability in this region. 

The Yemeni official said that after the recent defeats, the US-Saudi coalition intends to build barracks and military bases in different parts of the city of Harib for hundreds of terrorists.

Earlier, Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree told a news conference that his country had been briefed on the details of Operation Hard Punishment in Marib Province in which large areas of the province had been liberated.

Saudi Arabia, with the support of the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and several other countries, invaded Yemen in March 2015. The outbreak of war by Saudi Arabia and its allies in Yemen has so far killed tens of thousands and displaced millions of Yemenis.

The Saudi military aggression has also left the impoverished country of Yemen severely short of food and medicine.
