In a meeting with Tajik PM:

Dushanbe (IP) – Implementation of agreements between Iranian, Tajik Presidents requires serious efforts of executive officials of the two countries, Iranian president says.

Iran PressAsia: Speaking in a meeting with Tajik Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda at the Presidential Palace on Saturday afternoon, Ebrahim Raisi referred to the agreements reached by the Presidents of the two countries to deepen relations and increase the level of trade to $500 million, saying: "The necessary grounds and capacities to improve the level of relations between the two countries are fully provided and these capacities must be put into operation."

The President added: "The necessary agreements have been made and good cooperation documents have been signed between the two countries in the past, which requires the continuous efforts and regular consultation of the executive authorities of Iran and Tajikistan.”

“We agreed with the President of Tajikistan that the roadmap for the development of relations will be finalised as soon as possible and its goals will be operational by 2030,” he said.

At the same meeting, Tajik Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda explained the areas of cooperation and Iran's economic and trade presence in his country, saying: "We look forward to the serious presence of Iranian private sector in the fields of energy extraction and production, tourism, technical and engineering services, construction of power plant and the health and treatment of Tajikistan.”
