Tehran (IP) - On the occasion of National Forest Day, Iran's Ministry of Agriculture selected and appreciated over 200 top national foresters.

Iran PressIran news: The Secretary of the 5th National Forestry Day Festival said that so far more than 200 top foresters have been introduced throughout the country.

Saeed Tahmasebian said that the first National Forest Day Festival started in 2017 with the aim of acquainting people with forest and forestry with the slogan "I am a forester."

Massoud Mansour, the head of the country's Forests and Rangelands Organization, said at the ceremony that national security depends on food security and, most importantly, biosafety. 

Mansour pointed out that the protection of the country's water and soil guarantee this protection.

He stressed that despite all the threats to the country's natural resources, the resources could be protected with the determination of the government and the cooperation of the people.
