Tehran (IP) – Iran's president says now is the time for a wise, courageous, and popular movement that will pave the way for the realization of a strong Iran by using people's capacities and parliament's support.

Iran PressIran News: Attending parliament's open session on reviewing the qualifications of the proposed ministers by the 13th Iranian administration, President Ebrahim Raisi stated on Saturday that his transformation document was based on improving Iranian-Islamic culture, resistive economy, improving the living condition, and international relations according to national benefits.

He noted that each of the above principles is set to improve justice and local production.

"Implementing justice in distributing opportunities and resources plus saving all people’s rights are among the aims of the mentioned document," he added.

Referring to everyone’s participation in the document, he pointed out that the document focused on preventing corruption rather than fighting it.

Regarding the country’s present condition, Raisi said his administration has a short-term program, focusing on the existing problems, and a mid-term and long-term program that would be delivered to the parliament soon.

Control coronavirus, vaccination, an improving economy

"My administration's priority is to control coronavirus, accelerate vaccination, and improving the economic condition," he said.

He explained how his cabinet was selected and called specialty, knowledge, commitment, and anti-corruption spirit as his main priorities in choosing the cabinet.

He added that his cabinet is a combination of young and experienced men who can improve the condition based on their specialty and commitment.

Raisi later elaborated on each proposed minister's knowledge, background, and experience to prove their qualification to MPs.

The administration has defined plans for problems

President termed changing the approach from exports based on raw materials to the production of industrial products and market-oriented technology, changing the approach of running the country based on oil revenues and inflationary methods in providing administration funding to increase productivity, creating national wealth and sustainable income, changing approach from traditional and bargaining-based budgeting to operational and intelligent performance-based budgeting among these programs.

In another part of his remarks, Raisi said: "Paying more attention to the economic opportunities of the village, strengthening the economy based on agriculture and guidance work to strengthen the middle and deprived sectors sustainably and protect the environment and help public institutions are other areas which are considered in this administration.

The President pointed out: "An immediate, and short-term plan focusing on the problems ahead have been defined, and a program for mid-term have defined as well as long-term plans and these programs will soon be available to the representatives and elites of the country, but the problems that are of concern to everyone today will be presented in this program.

Curbing corona and improve the health situation, First priority

The head of the 13th administration stated that his first priority in the administration is to curb the corona and improve the health situation in the country and said: "Accelerating the general vaccination and implementation of health protocols and improving the level of treatment is the priority that the administration pursues regarding corona."

Second priority is the issue of the economy

He noted: "The second priority is the issue of economy, economic stability, improving macro indicators and strengthening people's livelihoods, solving living problems and strengthening the business environment."

Solving problems are possible but require efficient force

Raisi addressed the MPs, noting that solving the problems of inflation above 44% declared by the Statistics Center or more than 55% declared by the Central Bank, a sharp devaluation of the national currency, a significant budget deficit, severe reduction of Purchasing power of people, the hardship of people's livelihood, high liquidity growth, high administration's debts, and the relevant issues is possible, but it requires a plan, and it also needs an efficient force that can be transformative in any part of the country.

He stated that the third condition for doing this is to follow and monitor until the last moment and implement transformation programs in the country and noted: "We will surely overcome these problems, and the administration will do it with the help of parliament.

How President Raisi select his proposed Ministers

Referring to the indicators that have been considered in the selection of ministers, Raisi said: "The issue of paying attention to expertise and having knowledge in their majors was one of the issues considered in the selection and introduction of ministers. Commitment to work, revolutionary and jihadist spirit, anti-corruption and people-orientation were other criteria for choosing a minister."

The President pointed out: "In the first stage to chose proposed minister we sent candidates to 9 specialized working groups for review and inquired from the competent authorities of the monitoring agencies inside and outside the administration and the judiciary. The executive records of these people were followed with sensitivity."

Raisi highlighted: "Several people were identified for each ministry, and specialized working groups were appointed to review their program and interview with every proposed individual. In each working group, 5 people were interviewed and evaluated. I finally finalized these opinions closely after careful consideration.
