Tehran (IP): President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi said that developing cooperation and relations with China was the priority of the Iranian government in the field of foreign policy.

Iran PressIran news: Raisi, in a telephone conversation with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday, appreciated China's strategic stance on US unilateralism, its support for Iran in various international arenas, including support for nuclear rights, Iran's membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and opposition to US sanctions against the Islamic Republic.

He said: "The withdrawal of foreigners, has clarified the need for cooperation and participation of all Afghan currents and parties to ensure the security and development of the war-torn country more than ever."

During the call initiated by the Chinese side, Xi Jinping also expressed satisfaction with the fact that Iran-China relations had been expanding over the past 50 years, regardless of the changing international conditions.
