Iran PressIran news: During the meeting between the head of Iraq's Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) known as al-Hashd al-Sha'abi group, Faleh al-Fayyad, chief commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), Major General Hossein Salami described the presence of the Iraqi President Barham Salih and the head of PMU at the inauguration of the 8th President of Iran as important messages.

Addressing the commander of Hashd al-Sha'abi, Major General Salami said: "When we saw the US anger over you, we were happy, because we realized your effective work."

Voicing his support to the PMU, Salami emphasized: "We hope that the resolution of the Iraqi National Assembly on the withdrawal of American troops from the country would be implemented in practice."

Faleh al-Fayyad also said: "The enemy thought that with the martyrdom of Lt. Gen. Qasem Soleimani, he could harm the resistance and the popular uprising; but this is happening, and the decision to expel the United States from Iraq after his martyrdom was a huge achievement."

"We are proud of the IRGC and it our duty to use its experience, and we will never forget the day when the American media showed the map of Iraq burning after the arrival of ISIS," he added.
