Iran Press/ Europe: According to Russia's Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transportation, the Iranian cargo ship 'Paya' that was on its way to Astrakhan stranded 155 km to its destination.
The report said that the ship did not split in the accident and fuel did not leak from it.
The accident has no effect on ship traffic in the Volga Canal.
The ship was not carrying cargo when it was stranded and none of the ship's 12 crew members were injured.
Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transportation pointed out that the owner of the ship was taking due measures to return the ship to its route.
