Hisham Sharaf

Yemen (IP) - The Foreign Minister of the Yemeni National Salvation Government rejected any peace plan under the Saudi regime's blockade.

Iran PressMiddle East: In an interview with Al-Mayadeen on Monday, Hisham Sharaf said the international political movements were aimed at representing the Saudi regime as a mediator so as to exonerate it from all responsibility for the war on the Yemeni nation.

The Yemeni foreign minister's speech came several hours after Reuters claimed the Secretary-General of the Yemeni National Salvation Government Abdulmalik Badr el-Din al-Houthi said the ceasefire talks would begin immediately after the lifting of the blockade in line with a recent proposal by the UN special envoy for Yemen Martin Griffiths.
