Tehran (IP) - Spokesman for the National Task Force for Combating the Coronavirus in Iran said that the health protocols in polling stations and the time of the candidates' campaigns were reviewed and approved.

Iran PressIran News: Alireza Raeisi told a news conference on Saturday that the main goal was for the people to participate in the Presidential Elections under health protocols because they would not participate in casting ballot if they doubted their health.

Raeisi says health protocols vary based on the color of the provinces and that holding any election gathering indoors is prohibited.

The official said that the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) and the Ministry of Communications had an important role to play in this regard, as the IRIB had increased the candidates' promotion programs and the Ministry of Communications was trying to minimize internet disruptions.

The spokesman for National Task Force for Combating the Coronavirus stressed that the number of ballot boxes would increase during the voting, and voting would occur in an open environment in full compliance with health protocols, including social distancing.
