Moscow (IP) - A large number of Russian Muslims gathered outside the Palestinian embassy in Moscow, expressing their anger and disgust with the crimes of the Zionist regime and the killing of hundreds of people in Gaza.

Iran Press/Europe: The protest rally on Thursday evening was attended by a large number of Russian citizens and prominent political and religious figures who rallied in front of the Palestinian embassy in Moscow to strongly condemn the Zionists' atrocities against the oppressed Palestinian people.

In Moscow, the large gathering was organized at the invitation of several Russian NGOs, including the Palestine Defense Organization, the Central Quds Organization, the Muslim Religious Organization, and the Society for the Defense of the Liberation of Quds.

Christian citizens, Shia and Sunni Muslims, Azeri, Palestinian and Lebanese nationals, prominent political and religious figures in the rally holding Palestinian flags expressed their anger and disgust at the continuation of the brutal crimes of the usurping Zionist regime in the occupied territories and Gaza Strip and expressed their solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine.

The demonstrators chanted slogans calling for an immediate end to the brutal killing of Palestinians by Zionist occupiers. The demonstrators also criticized the silence of the United Nations, the Security Council, and human rights organizations, and called on Islamic countries and all freedom seekers around the world to rush to the aid of the oppressed Palestinian people.

"Jerusalem (Quds) is a holy city for Jews, Christians, and Muslims, and we oppose Judaization," said Sergei Baburin, Head of the Center for the Support of Quds in Russia, outside the Palestinian embassy in Moscow.

"The tragedy of Palestine is a symbol of lawlessness and irresponsibility in the world," he said. "For us, the Palestinian struggle for their land is an example of every nation's struggle for its faith and homeland."

Baburin added: "Today, a real war has started against those who are defending the land of their ancestors."

The Russian social official said: "Today, the land of Palestine has been occupied for 73 years, and its native inhabitants have been displaced."

"The Palestinian people have proven over the years that they are not willing to make any deal on Palestine and Jerusalem," said Palestinian Ambassador to Moscow Abdul Hafiz Nawfal.

He added: "We believe that the international community, which seeks the minimum of justice to resolve our issue, will be able to resolve the Palestinian issue on the basis of UN resolutions."

Oleg Fumin, Director of the Russian People's Solidarity Organization with Palestine and Syria, also said that the occupying Zionist regime had committed crimes against the oppressed Palestinians during more than seven decades of occupation, which was unprecedented in human history.

"The people of Russia and all the freedom seekers of the world will not remain silent in the face of the tyranny of the Zionists and will stand by the oppressed nation of Palestine until the occupation is lifted, and complete liberation of the Palestinian land is achieved," Fumin said.

The rally ended with the reading of a statement on the need for unity and solidarity between the Islamic World and Christianity in the face of the Zionist aggressors, urging for the accountability of the United Nations and so-called human rights institutions, and support and solidarity with the Palestinian oppressed.

On International Quds Day and in recent days, the large community of 30 million Muslims in Russia has held gatherings and meetings in support of the Palestinian people and the liberation of Al-Quds, condemning the crimes of the Zionist regime.

The occupied Palestinian territories have witnessed clashes between Palestinian youth and Zionist forces and settlers in recent days. There have been many riots and clashes in the Arab cities of occupied Palestine.

Since last week, Palestinian resistance forces have fired hundreds of rockets at Israel following attacks by Zionists on Palestinians in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of East al- Quds, which was also extended to Al-Aqsa Mosque.

As the attacks on Gaza continue, the Zionist regime is carrying out large-scale and brutal attacks against various residential areas in the Gaza Strip.
